1. Melting temperature TM: for crystalline polymers, it refers to the temperature at which the three-dimensional remote ordered state of the macromolecular chain structure changes into the disordered viscous flow state, also known as the melting point. It is the lower limit of processing temperature of crystalline polymer.
2. Glass transition temperature TG: refers to the transition temperature of amorphous polymer (including the amorphous part in crystalline polymer) from glass state to high elastic state or from the latter to the former. It is the lowest temperature of free movement of amorphous polymer macromolecule chain segment and the upper limit of working temperature of bottle blowing machine.
3. Non flowing temperature: The highest temperature at which no flow occurs under a certain pressure. A certain amount of plastic is added into the barrel at the upper end of the mouth mold of the capillary rheometer, heated to a certain temperature, and a constant pressure of 50MPA is applied after the constant temperature is known to be 10 min, if the material does not flow out of the mouth mold, the material temperature will be increased by 10 degrees after pressure relief, and the same constant pressure will be applied after the thermal insulation is 10 min, so on until the melt flows out of the mouth mold, and the bottle blowing machine will reduce the temperature by 10 degrees, which is the non flowing temperature of the material.
4. Flow temperature TF: refers to the temperature at which the amorphous polymer changes from a highly elastic state to a viscous fluid state. It is the lower limit of processing temperature of amorphous plastics.
5. Decomposition temperature TD: when the temperature of the polymer in the viscous flow state further increases, the degradation of the molecular chain will be intensified. The decomposition temperature rises to the temperature when the polymer molecular chain is obviously degraded.
